Our advocacy, Waste Wise: See No Plastic = Zero Plastics, aims to tackle the alarming issue of plastic pollution in La Castellana National High School-Senior High and promote a sustainable future free from the burden of plastic waste. The problem we are confronted with is the excessive usage of plastic materials that have permeated every aspect of our lives. DESCRIPTION

Our advocacy, Waste Wise: See No Plastic = Zero Plastics, takes a comprehensive approach to tackle the issue of plastic waste. Our plan consists of several key strategies to achieve our desired outcomes and create a lasting impact:

1. Awareness and Education: We prioritize raising awareness and educating individuals about the detrimental effects of plastic waste and the importance of sustainable alternatives. Through campaigns on our websites, social media platforms, and printed posters displayed throughout the school, we aim to reach a wide audience and foster a shared understanding of the issue.

2. Collaboration and Partnerships: We recognize that addressing the plastic waste crisis requires collaboration. We actively seek partnerships with faculty, staff, and student organizations such as the Supreme Student Government (SSG) and Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP). By working together, we can leverage resources and implement effective waste management practices.

3. Monitoring and Evaluation: Continuous monitoring and evaluation are essential to gauge the effectiveness of our advocacy. We establish key performance indicators and regularly gather feedback to measure progress and identify areas for improvement. This enables us to refine our strategies and ensure successful implementation.

4. SCAR (Showcasing Creativity through the Art of Recycling): We propose the establishment of a park made of plastic recycled materials, known as SCAR, which showcases the creativity and innovation of students. This solution promotes environmental sustainability, raises awareness about waste management, and demonstrates the transformation of waste into useful and beautiful creations. The park, constructed using a variety of plastic-recycled materials, will be showcased in the school gymnasium on June 30, 2023.Through these concrete steps and plans, we aim to address the issue of plastic waste by July 5, 2023. Our holistic approach combines education, collaboration, monitoring, and a showcase of student creativity to pave the way for a plastic-free future.
